Here’s an update on my compositional efforts getting ready for Christmas. Despite the pandemic I’ve been very busy composing! I’ve just finalized a grand piece for 2 soloists (High soprano & tenor) mixed chorus & symphony orchestra: GLORIA in four movements. Premier in Germany in October 2021. At the same time I’m workin intensely on two major works for mixed choir a cappella: “The four elements” and “Maria Creatoris” the latter one is for double choir with a high soprano solo. They are commissioned from Karlstad & Östersund, Sweden. I’ve also finalized 13 Psalter-hymns for mixed choir, harp & percussion which will be included in the major commission from Helsingborg, Sweden: St. Matthew passion. Premier in 2022! Early in January I delivered “Stabat mater” for mixed choir, 2 solists, harp, wood wind quintet and strings, Aiken University, South Carolina, USA. Of course the pandemic got a lot of consequences for my part since all major concert events this year has been cancelled as well as many (already) this coming spring. I thank my good fortune that I have commissions ongoing and are safe through 2021! I wish everyone good health and to be in good spirits despite the current situation. Hope must prevail!
